Artist Statement

As a first generation digital native, my diverse interests primarily focus on technological inquiry. I firmly believe that content & media should correlate yet contain a productive abrasiveness; thus my product is often simultaneously nostalgic & futuristic. With an eye toward (female, queer) DIY legacies, my practice concentrates in video/text with an orientation toward conceptualism/editing/post‑production; a tenor further emphasized by a “hacker ethos” founded on plagiarism of various materials: found footage appropriations, (mis)uses of code, and the recuperation of obsolete technologies.
